Growth, Size & What to Expect
Royal Frenchels grow in a very special way. The smaller the Royal, the slower they mature—and that’s a good thing. A slower maturation rate is linked to longer lifespans. That’s why Super Micro and Micro Mini Royals often live 14 to 18 years! Height and length (floor to shoulder and nape to tail base) are the most reliable size indicators—not weight.
Weight varies based on muscle tone and feeding routines, especially in adult life. All Royals reach their full height and length by around 9 months, with their head structure completing around 12 months. Then, they slowly “beef out” over the next 2–3 years.
