We breed and raise healthy dogs with love. We insure intimate care and respect of our dogs and pups individually using an innovative breeding method called Primary Family Breeding™ that insures a high quality in personality and behavioral development. We are dedicated to the proper union of puppy and it’s new home through a committed assessment of new buyers for the best fit in the life of our dogs and the buyers happiness. We form communities dedicated to the intelligent responsible care of dogs who share a continuous focus of learning and applying principles that are rooted in canine health, longevity, and the prospering of satisfaction in human and canine relationships.

About Us

RoyalFrenchel.com was developed out of the love of a couple of breeds of dogs, the French Bull Dog and the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. Both pedigrees suffered genetic mutations, which could cause pain and early death. French Bull Dogs require cesarean section a majority of the time, having spinal anomalies and breathing difficulties as many brachycephalic (flat, pushed in faced dogs) breeds do.

The Cavalier King Charles Spaniel breed suffers heart problems which cause death of the breed long before the rest of the body and size would generally die. So, to shift these anomalies and keep the best of both breeds that we love and cherish, we bred the French Bull dog with the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and created the RoyalFrenchel. The RoyalFrenchel ended up with the greatest traits of both the French Bull Dog and the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and little to none of their associated unhealthy anomalies!

The breeding of the RoyalFrenchel has been a wildly successful endeavor as the dogs are quite remarkable with traits and characteristics that people desire most in breeds today. Their smaller size, ease of movement, stocky yet, sleek and handsome build, great health, quick wit and playful camaraderie make them a super choice for people with friends and family and those on the go who want an intimate friend to trek along with them. They are great with children. They have super good sense for letting you know about out of the ordinary situations, like someone approaching your house, or perhaps a puppy is caught behind the front bench…. (that really happened at our house). A RoyalFrenchel will come and try to get your attention and then make noise if you don’t respond. The noise is sometimes a bark or most often it is a sort of talk that they do, similar to whining, but moving their mouth at the same time. Their care of children is impeccable.

The RoyalFrenchel trains easier than most dogs we have encountered. We have owned and raised dogs for many, many years and we have other types of dogs associated with our program that I love, but none are as easy, hands down, to train as the RoyalFrenchel. Last, but not least, for sure, the RoyalFrenchel can whelp (birth) their own pups without the surgical intervention of a cesarean section, and we have had no heart problems emerge with any of our dogs so far (though we will truly wait 10 years to finish our test in full, but so far so good — 4 years in a row!).

Yes, the RoyalFrenchel has been a great addition to the designer dog breeds available to people. We recently added Boston Terrier into the line to stabilize traits in cross breeding and to broaden the gene pool resulting in more consistently reliable offspring. There is a great deal to learn in this process. So, feel free to jump in with us. We are not in a hurry, just “lov’n our furry friends” born healthy and happy in families that enjoy every aspect of their care.
